Route 114
From Fallarbor Town, proceed westward on Route 114.
Then turn south to find the bridge connecting to the southern area, where the exterior of Meteor Falls can be found. When you reach the rocky terrain in this area, go up the stairs and follow the winding path to Meteor Falls’ entrance.
You can also spend time on this route hunting for Pokémon or items, or just challenging trainers along the way.

At the end of this rocky path filled with craters, you’ll spot the cave entrance to Meteor Falls. Head inside to help rescue Professor Cozmo.
Meteor Falls
Meteor Falls is a massive cave containing a waterfall. Although you can freely explore the cave’s first floor, you can’t access its upper levels until later in the game when you can climb up waterfalls.
For now, cross the bridge on the left and a cutscene involving Team Aqua/Magma should play.

Back at Professor Cozmo’s House
After winning the battle, you and your rival will escort Professor Cozmo back to his lab in Fallarbor Town, where he will reward you with TM23 Smack Down.
Now you’ll need to pursue Team Aqua/Magma at Mt. Chimney.
So your rival suggests heading to Mauville City together.
Saying “Yes” allows you to instantly fast travel back to Mauville City. Alternatively, you can say “No” for now if you wish to continue exploring the surrounding areas. Your rival will wait for you here in case you change your mind.
Returning to Route 112 (South Side)
From Mauville City, head north once again and make your way to Route 112’s south side.
Once you’re back on Route 112, proceed to the Cable Car Station’s entrance which was previously blocked by Team Aqua/Magma Grunts – but they should have left that spot by now.

You can also speak to the attendant here if you want to go back down to Route 112.
Mt. Chimney
Exiting the station, you’ll find yourself on the top of Mt. Chimney.
The path south is blocked by two Grunts battling, so your only option is to head north and climb even higher to reach the summit of this colossal volcano.

Team Aqua/Magma Leader Battle
After defeating the Admin, proceed to the machine at the end of the glass platform to confront Team Aqua/Magma’s Leader.

After defeating him, he gives you the Meteorite and heads for Mt. Pyre. Then the other team leader will also talk to you for a bit before also leaving.
Lava Cookie Shop
After all the grunts have departed, an elderly woman will appear and offer to sell you Lava Cookies for 200 Pokedollars each.
Lava Cookies function as more affordable alternatives to Full Heals, so it’s a good idea to stock up on some.
However, she won’t sell them immediately when she first appears. First you’ll need to take the Cable Car back up to Mt. Chimney after descending back to Route 112 through Jagged Pass.
South Exit to Jagged Pass
With the Grunts gone, take the south exit to reach Jagged Pass.
This brings you one step closer to Lavaridge Town, the location of the fourth Gym.
