Delta Episode 1st Phase: Pokémon ORAS Walkthrough (Part 23)

Quick Guide

1. After beating the E4, go downstairs from your room and speak to Norman and your mom.
2. Go outside to meet Zinnia, then visit your neighbor’s house.
3. Travel to Petalburg City and defeat the Team Aqua/Magma Admin in front of Wally’s house.
4. Make your way to Rustboro City to meet up with Steven at Devon Corp.
5. Fly to Granite Cave and battle Zinnia in the mural room.
6. Proceed to the second floor of the Mossdeep Space Center in Mossdeep City.
7. Use HM05 Waterfall to ascend to the second floor of Meteor Falls. Then, find Steven within the cave.
8. Return to Devon Corp. and defeat three consecutive Team Aqua/Magma Grunts.
9. Go back to the Mossdeep Space Center to defeat more Team Aqua/Magma members.
10. Follow Zinnia to the Team Aqua/Magma Hideout and navigate to Archie/Maxie’s room.

Littleroot Town: Starting the Delta Episode

When you first start the game after becoming the Champion, a short prologue to the Delta episode will play.

After the cutscene, head downstairs to receive tickets for the show at the Mossdeep Space Center from Norman.

As you leave, you’ll encounter Zinnia, the girl introduced in the prologue.

Head next door to your rival’s house.

Inside, you’ll discover that Zinnia plans to head to Petalburg next. Follow her to Petalburg City by flying there.

Petalburg City: Battling Admin Matt/Courtney

Proceed to Wally’s house, found on the northwest side of Petalburg City.

Although Zinnia has already left, you’ll encounter either Team Aqua Admin Matt or Team Magma Admin Courtney instead. Help out Wally by defeating them.

After your victory, Steven will call you on your DexNav and ask you to go to Devon Corp.

Rustboro City: Steven at Devon Corp.

Fly to Rustboro City and head north to the Devon Corporation

There, Steven is waiting for you at the entrance. Approach him to enter the building together.

Inside, Mr. Stone will ask you to go to Granite Cave to find the Meteorite Shard.

Granite Cave: Battling Zinnia

Fly to Granite Cave, the cave near Dewford Town.

Inside the cave, head to the mural room located on the northwest side of the current floor.

There you’ll encounter Zinnia once again, who will challenge you to a battle.

When you win, she’ll give you the Meteorite Shard you’re looking for.

After Zinnia leaves, Steven will call you on your DexNav so you can meet up at the Mossdeep Space Center.

Mossdeep City: Visiting the Mossdeep Space Center

If you haven’t been to the Mossdeep Space Center yet, head to the northeast part of Mossdeep City after flying there.

Talk to the attendant on the top-right corner of the first floor to get access to the second floor.

Once upstairs, another cutscene will play where you’ll have to hand over the Meteorite Shard to Professor Cozmo. He’ll then ask you and Steven to go to Meteor Falls to retrieve another piece of the Meteorite there.

Meteor Falls 2F

Unlike the last time you’ve been here, you now have access to HM05 Waterfall.

This will enable you to explore more areas of the cave, including where you and Steven need to go.

Navigating Meteor Falls (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Enter Meteor Falls and immediately head west.

Step 2: Proceed down the stairs and use Surf on the body of water near the waterfalls.

Step 3: Then use HM05 Waterfall to ascend the large waterfall.

Step 4: Surf along the left side of the water as you head north.

Disembark near the north wall and enter the nearby cave entrance.

Step 5: In this room, turn right and descend the ladder situated on the right side of the water.

Step 6: Once down the ladder, follow the path heading left, and then turn to head north past the Dragon Tamer.

Step 7: Climb up the ladder at the end of the path.

Step 8: Continue past the Old Couple by beating them in a battle, then go up the staircase on their right.

Step 9: Go up the rest of the stairs and approach Steven to begin the next cutscene.

You’ll be leaving the falls shortly after this.

Rustboro City: Grunt Battles at Devon Corp.

After obtaining the Meteorite Shard with Steven at Meteor Falls, fly back to Rustboro and return to Devon Corp.

As you attempt to enter the building, you’ll need to defend a Devon Researcher from Team Aqua/Magma Grunts pursuing him from inside the building.

Get ready to battle three Grunts in a row, with no opportunity to heal between battles.

Mossdeep Space Center: Admin Matt/Courtney Double Battle

Next, the Devon Researcher suggests returning to the Mossdeep Space Center.

Along the way you might spot some Team Aqua/Magma members also making their way to the Mossdeep Space Center. Quickly follow them there.

On your way to the second floor, you’ll be challenged to a Horde Battle against 5 Grunts.

They will send out 5 Mightyena with Intimidate to significantly reduce your lead Pokémon’s Attack stat. A multi-target Special Attack should easily take care of them all at once.

After your victory, proceed to the second floor.

At some point during the cutscene, you’ll be challenged by Admin Matt/Courtney and their Grunt to a double battle.

This time, Matt’s Sharpedo or Courtney’s Camerupt can now Mega Evolve.

Accept Steven’s proposal to team up with him and defeat them.

If you’re playing Alpha Sapphire

If you’re playing Omega Ruby

Upon winning the fight, the cutscene continues, and Zinnia suddenly shows up to steal more Key Stones. She then quickly heads to the Team Aqua/Magma Hideout.

Follow her there by flying to Lilycove City.

Revisiting the Team Aqua/Magma Hideout

When you arrive at Lilycove City, make your way to the northeast side of the city’s beach area to find the cove that leads to the Team Aqua/Magma Hideout.

Your objective this time is to reach the respective leaders’ rooms.

Remember that the hideouts have mirrored interior layouts based on your game version.

• If you’re playing Alpha Sapphire, find Aqua Leader Archie’s room.
• If you’re playing Omega Ruby, find Magma Leader Maxie’s room.

Alpha Sapphire: Hideout Guide (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Proceed directly through the main entrance of the Team Aqua Hideout.

Step 2: Once you’ve entered the first room, make use of the warp tile in the room’s northeast corner.

Step 3: Battle or avoid the Team Aqua Grunts, and then proceed to the stairs located on the room’s left side.

Step 4: After heading down the stairs, navigate to the room’s left side and step onto the warp tile at the end of the hallway.

Step 5: In the next room, head east and use the warp tile in the room’s northeast corner.

Step 6: Step on the warp tile south of where you are now.

Step 7: In this room, stepping on one of the correct sequences of warp tiles will lead you to Archie’s room.

Begin by stepping on the warp tile on the left.

Step 8: Then use the middle warp tile.

Step 9: From your current position on the middle warp tile, proceed to the warp tile that’s farthest on the left.

Step 10: Finally, go over to the leftmost warp tile to reach Archie’s room.

Step 11: Approach Zinnia and Archie to initiate a short cutscene.

Omega Ruby: Hideout Guide (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Proceed directly through the main entrance of the Team Magma Hideout.

Step 2: Once you’ve entered the first room, make use of the warp tile in the room’s northwest corner.

Step 3: Battle or avoid the Team Magma Grunts, and then proceed to the stairs located on the room’s right side.

Step 4: After heading down the stairs, navigate to the room’s right side and step onto the warp tile at the end of the hallway.

Step 5: In the next room, head west and use the warp tile in the room’s northwest corner.

Step 6: Step on the warp tile south of where you are now.

Step 7: In this room, stepping on one of the correct sequences of warp tiles will lead you to Maxie’s room.

Begin by stepping on the warp tile on the right.

Step 8: Then use the middle warp tile.

Step 9: From your current position on the middle warp tile, proceed to the warp tile that’s farthest on the right.

Step 10: Finally, go all the way over to the rightmost warp tile to reach Maxie’s room.

Step 11: Approach Zinnia and Maxie to initiate a short cutscene.

Team Aqua/Magma Hideout Fight

Regardless of the version you’re currently playing, the events in the cutscene will remain largely the same.

As you arrive, Zinnia will have already defeated the opposing leader in a battle and stolen their Key Stone.

After Zinnia departs, you’ll receive the Sharpedonite (Sharpedo’s Mega Stone) if you’re playing Alpha Sapphire, or the Cameruptite (Camerupt’s Mega Stone) if you’re playing Omega Ruby.

After this, Steven will call you once again, instructing you to meet him at the Mossdeep Space Center.

From here we’ll carry on and complete the Delta Episode.
