After you enter the Pokémon League’s lobby, heal your team by talking to the Pokémon Center lady on the left.

Then you can also stock up on healing items from the Poké Mart clerk on the right.

When you’re ready, proceed past the central gate between the two Ace Trainers.

Final Preparations for the Elite Four

Here’s a quick rundown on how battles work in the Pokémon League:

Past the gates, you’ll face the Elite Four and Champion one after another in each of their respective rooms.

You can heal between fights using items, but leaving midway through the challenge is prohibited. If you lose any of these battles, you’ll need to start over and fight them again from the beginning.

And here are a few final tips before challenging the Elite Four:

  • Train Your Team to be Around Level 50-60. The Elite Four’s Pokémon are between level 50-59, so it’s best to bring a team with similar or higher levels.
  • Finalize the Team’s Held Items and Movesets. It’s a good idea to let your teammates hold useful items and learn new moves that might be useful in the upcoming battles.
  • Stock Up on Healing Items. After Victory Road, you might be running low on healing items. They will be essential for keeping your Pokémon healthy between all five battles.
