You can get TM31 Brick Break by talking to an NPC on the northwest side of Sootopolis City. However, the TM is only obtainable after you complete the Cave of Origin story event that happens before you challenge the final Gym.
Prerequisites
When you first get to Sootopolis, you won’t be able to fully explore the area until you finish the story event involving Kyogre/Groudon in the Cave of Origin. Once that part of the story concludes, you can explore the rest of the city.
Here’s the list of everything you need:
- Obtain at least 7 Gym Badges
- Bring a Pokémon that knows HM03 Surf
- Bring a Pokémon that knows HM07 Dive
- Finish the story event taking place at the Cave of Origin, located in Sootopolis City
Location
If you’ve yet to reach Sootopolis City, then fly to Route 126 to get started.
Step 1: Begin by surfing south.
Step 2: Follow the diving spot’s trail heading south.
Step 3: Dive anywhere around the crater’s south side.
Step 4: Enter the cave to Sootopolis City.
Step 5: Once in the cave, return to the surface.
Step 6: Head northwest and land near a female NPC facing the water.
Step 7: Once you’re on land, follow the path on the right.
Step 8: Climb up the stairs and keep moving forward.
Step 9: Climb up the next set of stairs up ahead as well.
Step 10: Then, follow the path on the left, continuing up another set of stairs.
Step 11: Enter the house on the northwest by climbing up the last set of stairs.
Step 12: Talk to the Black Belt NPC in this house to obtain TM31 Brick Break.
