TM02 Dragon Claw

TM02 Dragon Claw is located on the ground deep inside Meteor Falls. You need to have Surf and Waterfall to access the room containing the TM.

And since the HM for Waterfall is obtained by defeating the 8th Gym Leader, you won’t be able to explore the upper levels of the cave when you first arrive in Meteor Falls.

Prerequisites

Before going after this TM, make sure that you first:

Defeat Wallace, the 8th Gym Leader, to get HM05 Waterfall and the ability to use it outside of combat
Bring Pokémon that knows both Surf and Waterfall

Location

When you’re ready, use Fly and head to Meteor Falls.

Tip: To escape immediately after exploring Meteor Falls, you can bring a Pokémon with Dig or an Escape Rope.

Step 1: Enter the cave and immediately head left.

Step 2: Go down the stairs and use Surf on the body of water near the waterfalls.

Step 3: Use Waterfall to climb up the large waterfall on the north side of the cave.

Step 4: Head north and go through the cave entrance in the north wall.

Step 5: Turn right, then climb down the ladder.

Step 6: Follow the path to the left, then start heading north past the Dragon Tamer.

Step 7: Climb up the ladder at the end of the path.

Step 8: Go up the stairs, then head down seven ledges.

Step 9: Before the eighth ledge, follow the path on the left. Then, climb down the ladder.

Step 10: Go down the stairs and Surf directly north.

Step 11: Disembark here, and go through the cave entrance.

Step 12: Surf north one last time; TM02 Dragon Claw should be at the end of the cave.
