Sootopolis City

Sootopolis City is a city located in the center of a volcanic crater in Hoenn. It is only accessible by diving or flying.

It’s home to the Cave of Origin, which is an area tied to the Legendary Pokémon Kyogre or Groudon. The city also features the Sootopolis Gym led by Wallace.

Sootopolis City Gym

If you head to the central island of the city you’ll come across the Sootopolis City Gym. Inside the Gym you’ll find Gym Leader Wallace, who specializes in Water-type Pokémon.

If you defeat him you’ll earn the Rain Badge and can use Waterfall outside of battle.

Move Tutor: Draco Meteor

In the northeast corner of the city there’s a house with an elderly couple.

Speak to the male Expert inside and he’ll offer to teach a powerful Dragon-type move, Draco Meteor, to a Pokémon in your party.

In the southwest part of the city you’ll encounter a girl named Kiri who will randomly give you two of the following berries once per day:
