Rustboro City

Rustboro City is one of Hoenn’s largest cities. It is home to the Devon Corporation, and it is also home to Hoenn’s first Gym led by the Rock-type Gym Leader Roxanne.

Rustboro City Gym

If you head to the northeast side of the city, you’ll come across the Rustboro City Gym. Inside the Gym you’ll find Gym Leader Roxanne, who specializes in Rock-type Pokémon. If you manage to defeat her you’ll earn the Stone Badge and the ability to use Cut outside of battle.

Devon Corporation

The Devon Corporation, located in the northwest corner of the city, produces various items for Pokémon Trainers. You’ll need to visit it both when you first arrive in Rustboro City and later during the Delta Episode.

2F – Fossil Reviver

On the second floor of Devon Corp, you’ll find a scientist behind a counter in the bottom left corner. Talk to him if you have any Fossils in your bag, and he will revive Pokémon from those Fossils.

Inside the house to the right of the Rustboro Gym you’ll find a child willing to trade their Makuhita for your Slakoth.

Cutter’s House

To the left of the Pokémon Center you’ll find the Cutter’s house.

Inside is the Cutter, an NPC that will give you HM01 Cut, which can be used outside of battle after you obtain the Stone Badge from the Rustboro City Gym.

Pokémon Trainers’ School

The Pokémon Trainers’ School is located east of the Pokémon Center. Inside you’ll find a teacher who will give you a Quick Claw.

Delta Episode: Grunt Battles at Devon Corp.

During the Delta Episode, you’ll need to return to Devon Corp. after accompanying Steven in Meteor Falls. When you reach the entrance, you’ll have to defend the Devon Researcher from three Team Aqua / Magma Grunts who will challenge you consecutively.
