Lavaridge Town Gym
If you head to the southwest side of the town you’ll come across the Lavaridge Town Gym. Inside the Gym you’ll find Gym Leader Flannery, who specializes in Fire-type Pokémon.
If you defeat her you’ll earn the Heat Badge.
Gift Pokemon – Wynaut & Togepi Egg
Outside the Hot Springs there’s a sand bath with a few elderly people standing around.
If you talk to the old woman, she will ask if you want an Egg, which contains a Wynaut.
Then after capturing or defeating Kyogre/Groudon later in the game, the same old woman will give you an Egg containing a Togepi.

Inside Lavaridge Town’s Pokémon Center is a Pokémon Breeder sells Moomoo Milk. This Pokémon Breeder is located between the counter and the entrance to the Hot Springs, and she sells milk individually or by the dozen.

Pokémon Herb Shop
South of Lavaridge Town’s Pokémon Center is the Pokémon Herb Shop.
The lady at the counter sells bitter medicine, a cheaper alternative to healing items found in Poké Marts. However, each use of bitter medicine on your Pokémon will reduce their happiness/friendship value.
