The Cave of Origin, located in the northern section of Sootopolis City, is where the climax and conclusion of the game’s main story unfolds.

In the deepest part of the cave you’ll encounter Kyogre (Alpha Sapphire) or Groudon (Omega Ruby), giving you the chance to catch the Legendary Pokémon.

During part of the main story you’ll find yourself in the deepest floor in the Cave of Origin.

Here, you’ll have the opportunity to face Kyogre (AS) or Groudon (OR). When you interact with them, Kyogre or Groudon undergoes Primal Reversion, transforming into Primal Kyogre or Primal Groudon – and the battle begins shortly after.

Tip: If you accidentally defeat the legendary here then it will respawn after you defeat (or re-defeat) the Elite Four and enter the Hall of Fame.
