# | Location | Repeatable? |
1 | Team Aqua/Magma Hideout — Team Leader’s Room | No |
2 | Lilycove Department Store — Possible lottery prize (Match all five digits) | Yes |
There are two different ways to obtain a Master Ball in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. First, there is a single Master Ball in the Team Aqua/Magma Leader’s room within their respective hideouts in Lilycove City. This Master Ball is always accessible in your playthrough, although it can only be obtained once.
But if you play the lottery at the Lilycove Department Store and manage to match all five digits of the lottery number with the ID number of any of your Pokémon, you’ll get a Master Ball as the jackpot prize.
Method 1: Team Aqua/Magma Hideout
Once you’ve encountered Team Aqua/Magma in Mt. Pyre and Slateport Harbor, you’ll soon be able to find and explore their secret hideouts in Lilycove City.
Since Team Aqua’s and Team Magma’s hideouts have mirrored interior layouts, the directions to the Master Ball’s location will differ depending on which version of the game you’re playing.
Regardless of the version you’re playing, you will still need to:
- Obtain the sixth Gym Badge from Winona, the Fortree City Gym Leader
- Deal with Team Aqua/Magma in Mt. Pyre, followed immediately by a visit to Slateport Harbor
- Bring a Pokémon with HM03 Surf
Omega Ruby Master Ball: Team Magma Hideout

Method 2: Lilycove Department Store Lottery
![Winning a Master Ball from the Lottery](https://oraswiki.com/assets/images/pokeballs/master-ball/27-pokemon-oras-winning-a-master-ball-from-the-lottery.jpg)
Aside from the guaranteed Master Ball in the Team Aqua and Magma hideouts, you have a chance to acquire additional Master Balls through the Lilycove Department Store Lottery.
The lottery can be found on the ground floor of the Lilycove Department Store. By talking to the attendant on the right side of the counter, you can participate in the lottery once every day.
Here’s how it works:
A random five-digit number is generated each day. And depending on how many digits match the ID number of any Pokémon in your party or in your PC, you’ll win a prize.
Here’s a table listing all the prizes you can win from the lottery:
Number of Matching Digits | Prizes |
---|---|
1 | Moomoo Milk |
2 | PP Up |
3 | PP Max |
4 | Rare Candy |
5 | Master Ball |
Since this is all based on RNG there’s really only one way to up your odds: catch more Pokémon!
And the more Pokémon you have from different trainers, the better your chances of winning.
