You will get the Intriguing Stone (which becomes the Pidgeotite) from a girl in Verdanturf Town after helping her find a lost Shroomish. Once you have the Intriguing Stone, take it to Mr. Stone in Rustboro City and he will reveal it as the Pidgeotite Mega Stone.
The Intriguing Stone becomes available when you first gain access to Verdanturf, so you can get it at any point after that.
This makes the Pidgeotite one of the earlier-game Mega Stones you can acquire.
Intriguing Stone Location
Head over to Verdanturf Town to get started.
Step 1: Head south from the Verdanturf Pokémon Center.
Step 2: Turn left once you reach the houses south of the Pokémon Center.
Step 3: Keep moving left and talk to the girl standing near the sign board. She will ask for help finding her lost Shroomish.
Step 4: Head back towards the Pokémon Center, but stop in front of the town’s sign board.
Step 5: Check the sign board and the lost Shroomish will come out of hiding. Everything proceeds automatically from this point.
Step 6: As a reward for helping her, the girl will give you the Intriguing Stone.
Getting the Pidgeotite
After obtaining the Intriguing Stone, head over to Rustboro City to speak with Mr. Stone for the Pidgeotite. You can fly back or backtrack on your bicycle.
Step 1: Move north from the Rustboro Pokémon Center going up along the main street.
Step 2: You’ll want to pass the first street, and then turn left at the second street (opposite side from the gym).
Step 3: Keep heading left along the street towards the Devon Corp building.
Step 4: Continue until the end of the street and then enter Devon Corp.
Step 5: Once you’re inside, head to the staircase in the top-right corner.
Step 6: Then on the second floor, head to the staircase in the top-left corner.
Step 7: Now on the third floor, head to the right side of the room and talk to Mr. Stone. He will identify the Intriguing Stone as a Pidgeotite.
The Intriguing Stone will be removed from your key items section after this event, as it gets replaced by the Pidgeotite instead.
