You can acquire the Lopunnite (Lopunny’s Mega Stone) by talking to an NPC located in the eastern hallway of Mauville Hills. This is the apartment complex situated on the second floor of Mauville City.
But this NPC won’t give you the Mega Stone right away. After your first conversation with him, you’ll need to leave and re-enter the hallway. Then talk to him again and this time he’ll give you the Lopunnite.
Prerequisites
Most Mega Stones (including Lopunny’s Mega Stone) are only obtainable after you defeat or catch Kyogre or Groudon in the Cave of Origin. This major event occurs right before you can challenge the eighth and final Gym.
But once you’ve defeated or captured Kyogre or Groudon, you can begin the New Mauville side-quest with Wattson. You don’t need to finish the quest to get your Mega Stone – just starting this sidequest will immediately grant you access to the second floor of Mauville Hills.
You’ll find Wattson waiting for you in front of Square Tower, located in Mauville City’s central plaza.
Location
When you’re ready, fly back to Mauville City’s Pokémon Center to get started.
Step 1: Make your way south to Square Tower and speak with Wattson to initiate a brief cutscene.
If you’ve already done the New Mauville questline then you can skip ahead to step 2.
Step 2: Once the cutscene ends, make your way back inside the city via the entrance at the northern end of this area.
Step 3: Back inside the city, turn right at the first intersection and proceed eastward until you find an elevator on the upper wall.
Step 4: When you reach the elevator along the north wall, ride it up to the second floor of the city.
Step 5: Upon arriving at Mauville Hills, make your way down straight out of the elevator and follow along with this hallway.
Step 6: Wrap around as the hallway turns, and then look in front of the second apartment on the left. You’ll find a male NPC dressed in all black.
Talk to this man in black to trigger a brief cutscene.
Step 7: As the cutscene ends, the man will go inside the apartment.
To obtain the Mega Stone you’ll need to get him to come back outside. The easiest way to get him to reappear immediately is by stepping in and out of any of the nearby apartments.
Step 8: Enter any nearby apartment and then immediately step back out into the hallway. The man in black will reappear in front of the same apartment door.
Just talk to him again and he’ll give you the Lopunnite.
