You can get Gyarados’ Mega Stone (Gyaradosite) by interacting with a Poochyena inside a fishing shack on Route 123. However, this is only accessible when you enter Route 123 through its northeast entrance from Route 122.
Prerequisites
For prerequisites, you just need to::
- Obtain at least the sixth Gym Badge from Winona, the Gym Leader from Fortree City
- Have access to Route 120
- Have a Pokémon with HM01 Cut
- Have a Pokémon with HM03 Surf
Location
Head to Route 121 to get started.
Step 1: Start following the path heading east on Route 121.
Step 2: Head down the stairs turning south, and use the route’s south exit.
Step 3: Use Surf on Route 122.
Step 4: Follow the path heading south until Mt. Pyre’s entrance is visible.
Step 5: Disembark here going south to enter Route 123.
Step 6: Follow the path down and then turn to start heading west.
Step 7: Use HM01 Cut on the nearby tree here (right after the berry bushes). Then follow the narrow path up and heading west.
Step 8: Cut down another tree you’ll run into on the path. Then continue following the same narrow path towards the left.
Step 9: Head down the ledge moving left past the berry trees.
Step 10: Continue heading towards the west here.
If you time it right, you can walk past the Poké Fan without having to battle him.
Step 11: Once you reach the tall grass here, hop down one ledge and then continue heading west.
Step 12: Battle the Ace Trainer that’s in your way here. Then jump down two more ledges, still heading west.
Step 13: After jumping all the ledges you’ll be able to go inside the nearby fishing shack.
Step 14: Walk up to the Poochyena inside the shack, then interact with it to give it a little scratch and obtain the Gyaradosite.
