Yes

In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire there’s only one way to get a Quick Powder. You can obtain it by using TM46 Thief to steal a Quick Powder from wild Ditto, which can be found on two different Mirage Spots.

Each Ditto only has a 5% chance of holding a Quick Powder, but you can use your DexNav to improve your odds.

Ditto can only be found in two specific Mirage Spots.

  • The first spot is the Mirage Cave located to the north of Route 132.
  • The other spot is the Mirage Island that’s on the south of Route 132.

You’ll need to use your Eon Flute to reach these locations.

Since Ditto can be found in two separate Mirage Spots, check if either of the Mirage Spots shown in the image below are available. Additionally, refer to the table detailing each location’s encounter rates:

Uses

The Quick Powder is a held item that, when held by Ditto, doubles the holder’s Speed stat in battle. Quick Powder has no effect in battle when held by any Pokémon other than Ditto.

However, it doesn’t work when Ditto is transformed.

So the main use of Quick Powder is to let Ditto hold it to move faster on the turn it’s about to use the move Transform, hoping to change into its opponent before being attacked first.

Tip: Ditto’s base Speed of 48 is still quite low and even with double Speed, Ditto will often get outsped. If you want to use Ditto on your team then use a different held item instead, and make sure your Ditto possesses its Hidden Ability Impostor. This ability enables it to transform immediately and avoid being hit in its untransformed state on the first turn.
