In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the Adamant Orb is hidden in an underwater trench on Route 128. So you’ll need HM07 Dive to reach it. And to use Dive outside of battle, you will first need to defeat the seventh Gym in Mossdeep City.
Location
The Adamant Orb is a hidden item that won’t be visible in the overworld. Since you can’t use the Dowsing Machine underwater, you’ll need to tap the A button in the general location of where the item is supposed to be until you get it.
But before heading off to find the Adamant Orb, make sure you’ve first:
- Obtained the seventh Gym Badge from Liza and Tate, Mossdeep City’s Gym Leaders
- Brought a Pokémon with HM03 Surf
- Brought a Pokémon with HM07 Dive
If you’re all set, start by flying to Route 128.
Step 1: Surf onto the water on Route 128 and start heading west.
Step 2: Use Dive to go underwater right in the center of a sand bar. You should run into the sand bar just from surfing to the west after flying to Route 128.
Step 3: To get the Adamant Orb, interact with the spot marked below.
Uses
In competitive battles, Dialga’s kit can be quite flexible.
With high base stats all around, he can take the role of an offensive Stealth Rock lead or a defensive tank, thanks to its stellar typing.
The boost Adamant Orb provides is unconditional, so it will always be an excellent option for Dialga. However, Dialga doesn’t have to use the Adamant Orb, as other great options like Leftovers or Shuca Berry can be better in most situations.
