In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire there are four ways to obtain Dusk Stones. The easiest way to get a Dusk Stone is by completing the Secret Super Training stage known as “Watch Out! That’s One Tricky Second Half!”. You have a good chance of receiving a Dusk Stone when you beat this stage within the target time.

Other ways to get Dawn Stones are viable and they’re all repeatable, but these other methods might be more tedious than the Secret Super Training stage.

Method 1 – Secret Super Training: Watch Out! That’s One Tricky Second Half!

Secret Super Training is a series of mini-games designed for fully-trained Pokémon to obtain rare items. If you complete the stage called “Watch Out! That’s One Tricky Second Half!” within the target time, you have the chance to win one of the following prizes:

  • Dusk Stone
  • Hard Stone
  • Pretty Wing
  • Soda Pop
  • Stardust

Because Super Training becomes available once Wally captures his Ralts, this method does provide the earliest opportunity to obtain a Dusk Stone. But fully training a Pokémon’s EVs (Effort Values) may require a lot of time in the early game.

Method 2 – Inverse Battle Stop

The Inverse Battle Stop is a unique battle facility operated by a trainer named Inver, where Inverse Battles take place.

Inverse battles are a special type of Pokémon battle in which type matchups are reversed. This makes moves that are usually super effective into becoming not very effective, and vice versa.

Each super-effective move you land in battle earns you a point, while each super-effective move he lands against you causes a one-point deduction. If you can defeat Inver then he’ll reward you with an item based on your score – and one of the items can be a Dusk Stone (this is repeatable). Scoring between 7 to 9 points gives you a 10% chance of obtaining a Dusk Stone.

Each prize in this pool also has an equal probability (10%) of being awarded. The prize pool for this score range includes the following:

  • Fire Stone
  • Leaf Stone
  • Water Stone
  • Thunder Stone
  • Sun Stone
  • Moon Stone
  • Dawn Stone
  • Dusk Stone
  • Shiny Stone
  • Everstone

After entering the facility, talk to Inver to start the challenge. Remember to track your points – you’ll need to accumulate a score between exactly 7-9 to have a chance of obtaining a Dusk Stone.

Method 3 – Rematch with Hex Maniac Valerie

Hex Maniac Valerie is the one trainer in ORAS that has a 5% chance of rewarding you with a Dusk Stone when you beat her in a rematch.

She can be found inside Mt. Pyre on the first floor of the building, and you can request a rematch by speaking to her. Here’s exactly how to find her:

Step 1: Go inside Mt. Pyre’s interior.

In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Super-Secret Bases are an upgraded version of the Secret Base feature from the original games.

After making your own Secret Base using TM94 Secret Power, you can customize and share your base with other players. You can also visit other Secret Bases to interact with other players, challenge them to battles, and if you want, make them one of your Secret Pals. Each Secret Pal can use a special skill once a day; a pal can learn up to four of the ten possible skills:
