This page provides information on how to obtain all O-Powers in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, along with details on how to use them.
Basic Introduction
O-Powers are a feature available in the PokéNav Plus. Once active, O-Powers will trigger certain effects related to game and battle mechanics.
There are 18 O-Powers in total:
- Accuracy Power
- Attack Power
- Bargain Power
- Befriending Power
- Capture Power
- Critical Power
- Encounter Power
- Exp. Point Power
- Defense Power
- Full Recovery Power
- Hatching Power
- HP Restoring Power
- PP Restoring Power
- Prize Money Power
- Sp. Atk Power
- Sp. Def Power
- Speed Power
- Stealth Power
In order to activate your O-Powers, tap the PlayNav feature in the PokéNav Plus menu, on the touch screen.

Next, tap the Player Search System (“Play online with others”) tab.

In the PSS menu, tap the gray button at the top.

After that, scroll to the second page and tap the “O-Power” button.

You will then access a menu containing all available O-Powers. Each O-Power has the following Levels:
Level | Unlocked At |
---|---|
Lv. 1 | Starting Level |
Lv. 2 | After 15 Uses |
Lv. 3 | After 30 Uses (at Lv. 2) |
Using O-Powers consumes a certain number of charges, which are represented by the lime-green circles at the bottom.
You will have 10 charges in total. Each O-Power usage consumes from 2 to 6 charges, depending on the O-Power’s level. O-Power effects last for three minutes.

You will have 10 charges in total, and you will automatically recover one charge every four minutes.
Walking around will speed up this process. The recharge time drops by one minute every 1,000 steps (capped at 4,000 steps per charge).
O-Power Locations
You will have five O-Powers available from the start of the game:
- Capture Power
- Defense Power
- HP Restoring Power
- Sp. Atk Power
- Sp. Def Power
You will then obtain 11 of the remaining 13 O-Powers at the Mauville Pokémon Center.
In the top right corner, standing in front of the map, you will find an old man NPC.

Talk to the old man and answer “Yes” to all his questions to obtain an O-Power. This method will repeat itself multiple times, but with different NPCs. They all share the same model, but with different color palettes:
- Giddy (yellow)
- Hipster (red)
- Bard (blue)
- Trader (green)
- Storyteller (pink)
The Trader has a slightly different mechanic, as instead of answering “Yes” to his questions, you will need to trade cheap items for Secret Base decorations.

After obtaining the PP Restoring O-Power from the Storyteller, go back and talk to him once you enter the Hall of Fame.

The Storyteller will then join the other four at Mauville Hills, which is where you’ll go to obtain the final O-Power.
The Hatching O-Power
To find the Storytellers and their apartment, take the elevator on the right side of Mauville to reach Mauville Hills.
From the elevator, walk to the bottom-right corner.

Walk to Apartment 3 (Old Guys’ Home), which is the first one on the right side.

Inside the apartment, talk to any one of the five NPCs.

Exit the apartment and continue to Apartment 11 (A Powerless Man’s Home), which is right across the hall.

Inside this apartment, walk to the bottom-right corner and talk to Powerless Man, the NPC in the business suit.

After talking to Powerless Man, return to Apartment 3 and talk to the Storyteller.

Once you are done talking to the Storyteller, return to Apartment 11 and talk to Powerless Man again.

Powerless Man will then head to Apartment 3. Follow him and the game will proceed automatically where the man will transform into Mr. Bonding, and will then give you Hatching Power, the final O-Power.
