Finding the Lake Trio

  • Uxie: 8 PM to 8:59 PM
Prerequisites
  • Obtain the National Dex
  • Have at least three Pokémon with maximum Friendship (255) in your team

This page details how to find and capture the three Lake Guardians (Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie).

The Lake Guardians

You will find Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie in Nameless Cavern. This is a Mirage Spot west of Mossdeep City.

They each appear at a different time of day, but they all spawn in the same location in the Mirage Spot.

Step 1: Once you’ve met the prerequisites listed above, use the Eon Flute while you’re in Mossdeep City.

Then while soaring, remain in place and simply rotate your character counter-clockwise, rotating towards Sootopolis City.

Step 2: Continue rotating counter-clockwise and Nameless Cavern will appear right as Sootopolis City comes into view. Press “A” to land.

Step 3: After landing, walk a short distance forward to enter the cave.

Step 4: Walk forward until you reach the end of the cave, where you will find a portal.

Step 5: Interact with the portal by pressing “A” on it, then answer “Yes” to fight the legendary Pokémon.

Return back here at all 3 of the required times (listed above) to battle all 3 of the Lake Trio Guardians.

Note: In case you fail to catch them on the first try, Legendary Pokémon will respawn if you re-battle and defeat the Elite Four and Champion.
