In Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire you can obtain other regions’ starters after completing certain milestones. You’ll get to choose one starter out of each starter trio from the Johto, Sinnoh, and Unova regions.
Each generation of starters is given to you as a choice after you complete certain in-game objectives. You will get the starters as gifts from Professor Birch on Route 101.
These events will be automatically triggered as soon as you exit your house in Littleroot Town, immediately after completing the respective prerequisites.
Note: You will only be able to pick one starter each time from each region.
